"Turnbull Creek North" by Elisabeth "Sissie" Barr. Each card measures approx. 8" X 5.5" and comes with a matching enveloped and is wrapped in cellophane.
Located near Turnbull Bay, this section of Turnbull Creek was constructed between 1768 - 1777 by the settlers who joined the British Settlement Smyrnea' as indentured servants. Turnbull Creek used existing waterways coupled with hand dug extensions to create drainage control, transportation routes, and dry land to support the settlement which was planned to be an agricultural enterprise. Turnbull Creek provides drainage to the North and connects to what is today Turnbull Bay. The Turnbull Canal System is registered with the National Park Services registry of historic places.
